The seven field types, suggested fields, and how to put your fields in order.

Your fields appear on every order, in the order you set. Add the details your team needs to record against an order.

Field types

Add and arrange fields

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Apps and open Notch: Order Fields.

  2. Add a field, give it a name and choose its type. For a dropdown, add the choices.

  3. Put your fields in the order your team works through them. The order page shows them in the same order.

Not sure where to start? Use the suggested fields and change them to suit you.

Tips

  • Keep field names short so they're easy to scan on the order page.

  • Use a dropdown or yes/no field for anything you want to filter by. Those two types can also be added to orders as tags.
